Open City Initiative |
Overseer 3D team is glad to announce a new initiative for RPG community. We decided to combine the best of our digital 3D maps and best RPG systems in Open City initiative. We are offering the upcoming release of City Overseer 3D as an opportunity for aspiring RPG and D20 authors to publish their adventures to thousands of people, using our City Overseer 3D CD-ROM as publishing media. If you have a city-based adventure and can convert it to electronic format (PDF, RTF, DOC) - we can include your map & module along with our software. We have about extra 150 MB space on CD, and we want to offer this space to any author who wants to distribute his or her work at no cost to the author. The benefits of this initiative are obvious:
Our installer will add links to authors' sites and so players can have access to additional materials. If you have a full-blown adventure ready - consider separating first part of it as your "Starter module ". With accompanying 3D map this will be a very innovative way to usher players into your world. This initiative is not exclusive and you fully retain your Intellectual Property rights - in other words, you are free to market your module through other channels at the same time. In summary this is clear win-win situation for everyone involved!
|
Prerequisites |
In order to qualify for this initiative:
Your module must comply with OGL and D20 licenses and you must include clear indication what part of your product is contributed as OGC. Modules for other RPG systems must comply with appropriate licensing requirements for their systems. Preference will be given to modules with good maps.
You must be able to convert your module to electronic media format.
Your module must be based in a city, town, village or similar location that can be represented as a 3D map. Multiple town-like locations with an overland map connecting them are acceptable as well.
