Product Announcement: Firsts of all, lets  unveil the secret of our upcoming product. This is new add-on for City Overseer / Combat Manager which is currently codenamed "Heroes & Adventurers". This add-on will give you all popular heroes to use in your worlds or to represent player characters during gameplay. The plan is to have virtually all "legal" combinations of classes, races and genders. We taking extra care to make this set of miniatures as realistic as detailed as possible, so this going to be one of the best 3D catalog we ever made. Take look at small part of upcoming catalogs. 

Vote results: In our survey of 3D video-cards not surprisingly GeForce2 is clean cut winner with 36%. Closet contender is much better but more expensive GeForce3 with 14%. Apparently GeForce3 has yet to gain market share to become truly widespread solution. Radeon and TNT share the 3rd place with 13% each. Apparently 3Dfx / Voodoo is dead both as company and as a 3D card solution. 

In the works: Traditionally here is the overview of our plans for new year. First of all is of course finishing the "Heroes". Another major task we are working on now is creation of completely new Overseer with bag of new features.  New Overseer will offer significant gains in speed, incredible visual effects (reflective water surfaces, explosions, smokes, etc) and support of much larger worlds. The downside would be the requirement to have GeForce3 or Radeon 8500 to use it (our new technology is based on so called vertex and pixel shaders).  Since these high-end cards are not yet widely adopted we plan to finish new Overseer closer to the end of the year.  We are keeping an eye on Newerwinter Nights progress. As soon as it is released we will be exploring options how to make our 3D worlds and catalogs compatible with NWN.  Also there will be free script and adventures updates for City Overseer 3D - when we have enough new material expect an update in "Adventures" section. (And don't forget to send us interesting scripts and maps you come up for your adventures!)
